Seventeen (17) players of the senior national team, Black Stars, are present at the second day of training held at the Baba Yara Sports on Tuesday, ahead of the doubtful clash against Sierra Leone on Thursday, October 11. Thomas Partey, Kwadwo Asamoah, Richmond Boakye Yiadom, Lawrence Ati-Zigi and John Boye were yet to join their colleagues at training, as they gear up preparation for their double header against Sierra Leone in 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.
The players present were taken through series of passing and shooting drills which lasted for more two hours by the technical team headed by the Kwasi Appiah and his assistants Ibrahim Tanko and Maxwell Konadu.
Thomas Agyapong, who was handed an initial call up by Kwasi Appiah is set to miss their double header after sustaining injury with his Scottish side Hibernian FC.
Appiah is expected to have the full compliment of his team as they hold their last training session on Wednesday.
Below are the players that were present; Goalkeepers; Richard Ofori and Felix Annan Defenders: Andy Yiadom, Harrison Afful, Jonathan Mensah, Daniel Amartey, Nicholas Opoku and Lumor Agbenyenu Midfielders; Mubarak Wakaso, Afriyie Acquah, Christian Atsu, Bernard Mensah, Nana Ampomah and Isaac Sackey.
Forwards: Asamoah Gyan, Majeed Waris and Emmanuel Boateng. Meanwhile, the Black Stars are yet to receive a confirmation from Africa's football governing body, CAF, with regards to giving Sierra Leone the greenlight to feature in the clash after they were handed temporary suspension by FIFA.
