South African Jemine Madiga placed second, with Abigail K. Asare, a student placing third in the race that attracted almost 1,000 participants.

The objective of the event was to raise awareness and funds for the country’s mental hospitals and educate the public to love people with mental problems.

Mrs. Catherine Morton, the race director expressed satisfaction over participation, the enthusiasm and contribution of participants.

Mrs. Morton said it would be an annual affair and thanked the companies like Melcom, Marina Mall, Zen Garden, Omo from Unilever, Blue Skies, Dark & Lovely, Verna Water from Twellium Ghana Ltd, PUSH by Esi Yankah, Numero Uno and Claron Health International for their support.

Madam Mills, also took the prize for the oldest competitor advised the youth to be consistent in everything that they do and never give up if it is positive.

She commended the organisers and urged other companies to join in creating a wealthy and healthy nation.

Aseda aka New Testament, a hip life gospel musician and athlete who place 8th said the event was great and prayed that more would be organized with more attractive prizes for winners.
