Mr. Anthony Baah, the Regional Director for National Youth Authority (NYA) in the Western Region, has called on the youth in the region to develop their interest in sporting activities particularly boxing, by emulating the Late Ekow Krannie.
He said the late Ekow Krannie was a heavy weight boxer, who raised the image of the boxing profession in the region and encouraged all the youth in the region who have passion for boxing to develop their talents, to emulate the legendary boxer.
He was speaking during a press briefing organised by the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) and the Ghana Boxing Federation (GBF) in Takoradi.
He said “Boxing is a game for young people and we cannot talk about it without mentioning the late Ekow Krannie".
He cautioned the youth not to use their strength on social vices, but rather on boxing, which was capable of providing them a decent living.
