West African Football Academy (WAFA SC) handed a 3-2 defeat to Accra Hearts of Oak at the Sogakope to stay unbeaten in the Normalisation Committee's Special competition.
Jamal Haruna drew first blood for WAFA in the 12th minute at the Red Bull Arena, when he rounded goalkeeper Richmond Ayi to slot home at an acute angle.
The Phobians reacted positively when they got the equaliser through their captain Fatawu Mohammed just few minutes to the end of the first half.
Goalkeeper Richmond Ayi was rouded for the second time in the game, by Daniel Lomotey who pounced on an error from Hearts defender Benjamin Agyare.
WAFA increased the tally to 3-1 after Bortey Acquaye's long range effort found the back of the net.
Christopher Bonney scored from a spot kick to make it 3-2 with WAFA holding unto the win.
Meanwhile, in other results, Berekum Chelsea recorded their first victory in the competition following the sack of their coach, Ransford Cudjoe.
They defeated Ashgold by a goal to nil at the Golden City Park in Berekum.
