The Board of Directors of Accra Hearts of Oak has been forced into a crisis meeting on Monday in an attempt to convince the club's Head Coach, Kosta Papic to overturn his decision to quit his job.

The Graphic Sports Online understands that the 60-year-old Serbian, who took charge of the club just two months ago, has tendered his resignation from the club.

It is reported that the coach cited interference in his job as one of the reasons why he was quitting the job, but sources close to the club have refuted the claim.

The report said the Serbian was unhappy with alleged interference from his employers and had signalled his intention to lay down his tools by the close of work on Monday.

Inside sources confirmed to Graphic Sports Online that the coach had indicated his intention to quit the job, but maintained that the Serbian may be using alleged interference to walk out of the job.

According to the Hearts source, Coach Papic had already written to the hierarchy of the club communicating his intent to resign, but indicated that his decision had nothing to do with any such interference.

Meanwhile, local media reports have linked Papic to an unnamed club in Tanzania, which has reportedly tabled a lucrative offer for the coach who previously coached Tanzanian side Young Africans between 2009 and 2012, and has extensive experience working with clubs in Nigeria, South Africa and eSwatini (formerly Swaziland).
