Premier League
The top four teams will qualify for the Champions League group stage. Leaders Manchester City are assured of a Champions League spot, and will clinch the title if they beat Chelsea in their next game on Saturday, 8 May.
The fifth-placed Premier League team will qualify for the Europa League group stage, along with the FA Cup winners (Leicester or Chelsea) unless they have finished in the top five, in which case that Europa place reverts to the league.
Manchester City's Carabao Cup final victory means that that competition's Europa Conference League place (Uefa's new tournament) will revert to the league.
There is also a Champions League group stage place reserved for the winners of this season's Champions League and Europa League, regardless of their league position.
If English teams win both competitions but finish outside the top four, there can only be a maximum of five English teams in the Champions League, so the fourth-placed team will enter the Europa League.
The bottom three teams will be relegated to the Championship. Sheffield United became the first English team to be relegated when they lost 1-0 at Wolves on 17 April, going down with six games still to play.
West Brom will be relegated if they lose on Sunday or if other weekend results go against them, while Fulham will be relegated if they lose at Burnley on Monday and Newcastle avoid defeat on Friday.
Championship
Norwich City were promoted before kicking a ball on 17 April after rivals Swansea and Brentford both failed to win, and clinched the title with a game to spare by beating Reading 4-1 on 1 May. Watford secured the second automatic promotion slot with a 1-0 win over Millwall on 24 April.
Brentford, Swansea City, Bournemouth and Barnsley will contest the play-offs for the third promotion place.
The bottom three teams will be relegated to League One. It is between Wycombe, Sheffield Wednesday, Rotherham and Derby, who will be separated by only three points going into the final round of games - in which Derby and Wednesday play each other at Pride Park.
However, Wycombe would need an enormous swing in goal difference to stay up.
League One
The top two teams will be automatically promoted to the Championship, with the next four entering a play-off.
Leaders Hull City confirmed their promotion with a 2-1 win at Lincoln on 24 April, and clinched the title on 1 May by beating Wigan 3-1.
Peterborough United clinched the second automatic promotion place on 1 May after a 3-3 draw with Lincoln City, who will contest the play-offs with Blackpool, Sunderland and either Portsmouth, Oxford or Charlton.
The bottom four teams will be relegated to League Two. Bristol Rovers went down on 24 April after losing 1-0 at Portsmouth, and Swindon Town joined them later that day after a 5-0 loss at Milton Keynes. Rochdale and Northampton Town went down on 1 May after losing to Doncaster and Blackpool respectively.
League Two
The top three teams will be automatically promoted to League One, with the next four entering a play-off.
Cheltenham Town secured promotion with a 1-1 draw against Carlisle on 27 April. The other two places are between Cambridge, Bolton and Morecambe, who are separated by only two points going into the final round of games.
Whichever of that trio is not promoted automatically will contest the play-offs with three of the next five clubs - Newport, Tranmere, Forest Green, Exeter and Salford.
The bottom two teams will be relegated to the National League. Grimsby Town were relegated after losing 3-2 at Exeter on 27 April after late defeat to Exeter, while Southend United joined them on 1 May despite a 2-1 win at Barrow.
National League
The champions will be automatically promoted to League Two, with the next six teams entering a play-off.
Leaders Torquay are assured of at least a play-off place.
With Macclesfield Town expelled, Dover Athletic's results expunged, and the National League North and South divisions declared null and void for 2020-21, there will be no relegation from the National League this season.
Scottish Premiership
The Premiership split in half after 33 games, with each club playing the others in its "half" for a fourth and final time.
Rangers were confirmed as champions on 7 March after nearest rivals Celtic drew 0-0 with Dundee United, and will enter the Champions League at the third qualifying round.
Celtic will finish as runners-up and will enter the Champions League at the second qualifying round.
Hibernian and Aberdeen will enter the new Europa Conference League at the second qualifying round, while the Scottish Cup winners will enter the Europa League at the play-off round.
The Premiership's bottom club will be relegated to the Championship, while the 11th-placed team will enter a play-off with three Championship sides. These bottom two places will be filled by either Hamilton, Kilmarnock or Ross County.
Scottish Championship
Hearts clinched the title and promotion to the Scottish Premiership on 10 April after two of their rivals could only draw.
In the first round of the play-offs, Raith Rovers will face Dunfermline Athletic over two legs on 4 and 8 May. The winners will face runners-up Dundee, home and away on 12 and 15 May - with the winners of that tie taking on the 11th-placed Premiership team, again on a home and away basis on 20 and 24 May, for the final place in next season's top flight.

Bottom side Brechin City must enter a two-legged play-off against the winners of a play-off between Highland League champions Brora Rangers and Lowland League winners Kelty Hearts (the second leg is on 8 May, with Kellty leading 2-0 from the first leg) - with the overall winners taking the final place in League Two for 2021-22.
There were also proposals to expand League Two to 16 teams, potentially involving B teams from Rangers and Celtic
