Mr Commey is scheduled to meet the GFA this Friday, July 1, at 2 p.m.

According to the GFA, the invitation was to help protect the integrity of the game.

Match-fixing allegations

In an interview with Tarkwa-based Space FM, Mr Commey, a former Public Relations Officer of Accra Hearts of Oak, alleged that the final league match involving Hearts and RTU in Accra, which the latter won 4-1, was fixed.

He also alleged that three other matches were fixed on the final day of the Ghana Premier League.

“The Ghana Premier League was competitive but I wasn't happy with the final day because there were lots of fixed games. RTU never won any match away; AshGold versus Bibiani Goldstars was fixed, Wonders versus Aduana was fixed, King Faisal versus Legon Cities was fixed," Commey reportedly said on Space FM.

Subsequently, the GFA, which has embedded in its code of ethics of 2019 a zero tolerance for match manipulations and betting, invited him to assist in investigations.

The FA further reminded all club officials that the FIFA and GFA Code of Ethics imposed duties on participants in football to assist the association and FIFA in eradicating such ills from the game.
