Medeama SC midfield star, Kwasi Donsu, has officially parted ways with the Tarkwa-based side, nearly two years after he was first loaned to Maltese Premier League side, Sirens.
The Ghana Premier League powerhouse made the announcement on its X handle yesterday, confirming that the decision to part ways was a mutual agreement between the two parties.
The move brings an end to a remarkable chapter in Donsu’s career — a journey filled with achievements, loyalty and deep-rooted affection for the Mauve and Yellow.
In a heartfelt statement, Medeama expressed its appreciation for the Tamale-born midfielder’s service, emphasising that his contributions will forever remain a key part of the Medeama story.
"We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Kwasi for his immense contributions, dedication and the unforgettable memories created during his time with the club," the statement read. "Medeama SC and club legend Kwasi Donsu have mutually agreed to part ways."
Donsu first made a name for himself at Medeama through his creativity in midfield, scoring crucial goals and adding stability and maturity to the team’s centre of the park.
His prowess from set-pieces and ability to control the flow of the game made him a key figure in the side’s success.
The 29-year-old has so far made 172 career appearances, scoring 21 goals and adding seven assists during his remarkable tenure.
Donsu’s move to the Maltese side Sirens in 2022 on a loan deal was an opportunity for him to showcase his ability on a European stage.
His time there was described by many as a “stellar performance”— a period where he not only maintained his form but also raised his profile, proving that his talent can flourish in a new environment.
