Black Stars forward Andre Ayew has highlighted the need to get back to full fitness after making his NAC Breda debut.
Dede Ayew played in Breda’s goalless draw with FC Groningen in the Dutch Eredivisie; the game marked his first piece of competitive football action in the 2025-2026 season after seeing out the first half of the campaign without a club.
In 33 minutes, the former Black Stars captain successfully completed seven out of 10 passes. Ayew completed three of six passes accurately in the opposition’s half.
Reflecting on his debut, Dede Ayew shared that he needs to get used to his new teammates and the club’s playing style.
“It’s good to be here. A new competition for me, but one with the necessary prestige. I also need to get back to 100 percent fitness and get used to my teammates and our playing style.”

“We showed fighting spirit and determination and we need to keep it up. Everything to keep NAC in the Eredivisie” Dede Ayew said to the club’s media.
