The summit of Sanaa Gathering called on the UN Security Council on Tuesday to intervene immediately to stop the Israeli aggression in the Gaza Strip.
Leaders of the Sanaa Gathering, which includes Ethiopia, Somalia, Sudan and Yemen, in their speeches at the opening meeting of the sixth summit, denounced the international silence towards the bloody massacre that the army of Israel launched against the unarmed innocent people in the Gaza Strip.
Sudanese President Omar Hassan al-Bashir said it was regrettable that this crime committed before the eyes of the world, criticizing the Security Council's "inability to stop the aggression."
He also criticized the United State for it "made no secret of support for the brutal attack against unarmed civilians in the Gaza Strip."
He called on the Arab and Islamic states to unify their positions in order to stop the aggression against the Palestinian people, calling for breaking the embargo on the Gaza Strip and to provide the necessary needs of the population of the strip.
Yemeni President Ali Abdullah Saleh echoed President Bashir and urged the UN Security Council to intervene immediately to force Israel to carry out UN resolutions.
Somali Prime Minister Nur Hassan Hussein condemned the brutal attacks in the Gaza Strip, and urged Israel to lift the siege on Gaza.
Ethiopian Prime Minister Meles Zenawi said his country strongly condemns the Israeli aggression and calls for a halt to all military actions and all sides to work to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable peace.
Israeli unprecedented intensive air strikes on Hamas movement targets in Gaza came into the fourth day on Tuesday, which have killed 380 Palestinians till now, most of them militants, and wounded more than 1,000 people.
