Bangladeshi Prime Minister hopeful Sheikh Hasina said she would form government in the first week of January after her party's landslide victory in the 9th Parliament election held on Monday.
After an hour long meeting with President Iajuddin Ahmed on Wednesday evening, she told reporters at the President House she hoped that her Cabinet would be sworn-in in the first week of January.
President's Press Secretary Abdul Awal Hawlader said immediately after publication of gazette containing the official results of the election the new Cabinet would be sworn-in as soon as possible.
He said the President expressed the hope that under the new leadership of Sheikh Hasina democratic process in Bangladesh would be strengthened and economic development expedited.
