Former executives of Sunyani Polytechnic branch of Tertiary Educational Institutions Network (TEIN) of National Democratic Congress have congratulated President John Atta Mills and Vice President John Dramani Mahama for emerging victorious in the 2008 general election.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr. Francis Kuunaiguo Francis, former vice president of the student body.
The executives for the 2007 and 2008 academic years also congratulated President Mills for appointing Mr. Haruna Iddrisu, the National Youth Organiser of the party and Mr. Kwadwo Nyamekye Marfo, Deputy Brong Ahafo Regional Chairman of the party, as Minister of Communications and Brong Ahafo Regional Minister respectively.
"They are people who have outstanding credentials and have excelled in their areas of endeavours", they said and added that Mr. Iddrisu had championed the passage of a lot of bills in parliament and contributed to the party's victory.
"Mr. Nyamekye Marfo is a humble man, down to earth and a person who welcomes diverse views irrespective of one's social, economic and political status and affiliation", the statement said.
The former executives pledged their support and expressed the hope that the two ministers would bring their rich experiences to bear on their portfolios to help President Mills execute his agenda for a better Ghana.
