The suspended talks between Pakistan and India are expected to be back on track as a result of parleys to be held between the leaderships of India and Pakistan, local TV channel reported on Tuesday.
The private TV channel GEO quoted Pakistani Foreign Office spokesman as saying that there is hope of resuming the composite dialogue with Pakistan-India leaders meeting in the Egyptian city of Sharm el Sheikh.
He also said the water conflict between the two countries is of serious nature for Pakistan. If the issues between the two countries are not resolved, then Pakistan can resort to world powers for mediation.
Regarding Mumbai attacks, the Foreign Office said Pakistan has fully cooperated with India over the issue.
India put the composite dialogue with Pakistan on hold in the wake of last year's Mumbai terror attacks that killed nearly 180 people. It has been urging Pakistan to take action against the perpetrators of the attack, including members of the banned group Jamaat-ud-Dawa.
