Mr Isaac Asirifi-Kudom, Presiding Member of the Nkoranza South District Assembly in Brong Ahafo has called for effective collaboration among assembly members to initiate development programmes to help improve the living conditions of the people.
In an interview with the Ghana News Agency at Nkoranza, he said the members needed to always seek the interest of the people they represented.
Mr Asirifi-Kudom advised them not to allow partisan politics to divide them but they must rather forge ahead in unity and share ideas to help promote the development of their electoral areas.
He urged them to support the district chief executive to develop the district and collaborate with the traditional authorities and the unit committees to organise the people to complete development projects.
Mr Asirifi-Kudom said the people should also support the assembly members and honour their tax obligations to enable the assembly to mobilize enough revenue for development.
He advised revenue collectors to be honest in the discharge of their duties and assembly members to be cautious when making issues of the assembly known to the public since that would erode the trust and confidence people had in the assembly.
