The governments of El Salvador and Israel have signed a cooperation agreement to promote the exchange of technical and scientific knowledge in agriculture, local media reported on Friday.
The agreement was signed on Thursday by Salvadorian Foreign Minister Hugo Martinez and Israeli Ambassador to El Salvador Mattanya Cohen.
The agreement is aimed to boost the cooperation among the two countries' official agencies as well as public and private agriculture
associations, and to promote El Salvador's agriculture-livestock development.
Under the agreement, Israeli experts will help train Salvadorian technicians, organize conferences to train professionals and develop investigation research projects, among others.
