The Ghana Union of Professional Students (GUPS) has congratulated President John Dramani Mahama on his induction into office as the Fourth President of the Fourth Republic of Ghana.
This was contained in a press statement signed by Mr Michael Paa-Kwecy Adu, National President, copied to the Ghana News Agency on Tuesday.
It noted that it is their prayer that the President and his administration would live a life of high calling, uniting the front of Ghana and improving upon the highly reputable image of mother Ghana on the world map socio-economically.
"We at GUPS pray for God's wisdom, guidance and protection to be with you, the vice president and the entire leadership," it said.
The statement said GUPS hopes that under President Mahama's Government; GUPS member institutions, which had not known development since their establishment and those that had seen little, would see a face-lift beyond their expectations.
The statement urged the new administration to work towards meeting the needs of all Ghanaian students.
It further congratulated all members of parliament who have just assumed office.
