Job Description: Accounts Officer
Position Overview:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and experienced individual to join our team as an Accounts Officer. The primary responsibility of the Accounts Officer is to manage financial transactions, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and in a timely manner.
2. Reconcile bank statements and ensure the accuracy of financial data.
3. Prepare and maintain general ledger entries, including posting journal entries and adjusting entries as needed.
4. Assist with month-end and year-end closing procedures, including preparing financial statements and supporting schedules.
5. Monitor and analyze financial transactions to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
6. Assist with budgeting and forecasting processes by providing financial data and analysis.
7. Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to resolve billing and payment issues.
8. Maintain documentation and records in compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
9. Assist with audits by providing supporting documentation and answering auditor inquiries.
10. Stay current with changes in accounting regulations and best practices to ensure compliance.
