Mr Christopher Asante, Nkoranza District Education Coordinator in-charge of private schools has urged parents to support proprietors and proprietresses towards the development of schools, so that their children could benefit from quality education.
Mr Asante was addressing the parents, students and staff of Great Ericus International School at Nkoranza, during its second anniversary celebrations.
"As along as you have decided to enroll your children in private schools, you are requested to play your respective roles like paying school fees promptly and providing the children with their basic school needs," he said.
He also stressed the need for the teachers to lead exemplary lives since they were role models in the communities.
Mr Eric Kwame Panyere, Proprietor of the school, in a welcoming address said the school, which was started in January 2006 with five children, currently had 350 students.
He paid tribute to the Nkoranza District Director of Education, Mr Kwabena Agyemang-Badu, for his advice and support that helped to lay a solid foundation and growth of the school.
The headteacher commended the parents for enrolling their children in the school and patronising school activities, and called on them to regularly visit the school to interact with teachers to know the performance of their children.
Mr Hayford Ankomako, a parent of the school, who presided, appealed to other parents to show concern for the development of the school, by offering the necessary support to the teachers, so that they would render active services for the education of the children.
