Jurgen Klopp hopes to have a new goalkeeper in place before the summer with ESPN FC sources reporting that Liverpool are stepping up their pursuit of Roma's Alisson.
The Brazilian will not come cheap, though, should the Reds want an upgrade for Simon Mignolet and Loris Karius, as Roma value the 26-year-old at £62m (€70m).
The Giallorossi goalkeeping coach has described Alisson as the "Messi of goalkeepers," with the Italians eager to persuade the former Internacional star to sign an extension.
Liverpool hope to beat potential competition from Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, who are both expected to move for new No.1s this summer by striking a deal in the coming months before the window opens.
