Tema district office of Electoral Commission (EC) has selected five polling stations for security personnel, electoral officials and journalists in Tema Region for the special voting exercise on Tuesday.
They are Communities One and Two police stations for Tema East and West Constituencies and Tema Community Centre polling station for Kpone-Katamanso Constituency.
The rest are Ashaiman and Adenta police stations for Ashaiman and Adenta Constituencies.
Hundreds of security personnel from the Police, Navy, Military, Fire Service, Immigration, CEPS and media personnel joined queues at the various polling stations early in the morning to cast their votes.
Political party agents from New Patriotic Party (NPP), National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Convention People's Party (CPP) were present at Community One police station centre as at 0855 hours when GNA visited the centre.
However, at 0915 hours at the Community Two police station centre, CPP agents had not reported but Mr Isaac Asamoah, Presiding Officer said he reminded the Parliamentary Candidate for Tema West, Mr Isaac Asempa of their presence before voting started.
Mr Eric Opei-Kumi, Returning Officer for Tema East Constituency said 3,000 ballot papers each for the Presidential and Parliamentary polls were sent to Community One centre.
He noted that it was possible about one-third of the ballot papers would be returned after the special voting which had been smooth.
Mr Opei-Kumi, said even though some of the personnel could not find their names in the list presented to the EC, polling officials processed them to vote after checking their voter identity card and service card.
He explained that most of those whose names were not on the list were either on leave or sick when the list was being compiled and submitted.
Mr Michael Boadu, Tema Metropolitan Electoral Officer described the process as smooth and prayed it continued to the end saying the process was being monitored to deal with any eventualities.
