The Effutu Municipal Assembly has presented a set of Compaq Computers to five schools in the Municipality.
The beneficiary schools were H and E Primary School, Challenging Heights Primary School, Uncle Rich Junior High School, Presbyterian Junior High School and S.H. Amissah Institute.
Mrs Nelly Shelly Coleman, Assistant Director of Education in charge of Finance and Administration of the Municipal Directorate of
Education who led a team to make the presentation at the various schools, said the donation was in fulfilment of a promise made by the Assembly to the schools for performing well during the 2010
independence day march past.
She said it was also to support the schools in teaching Information Communication Technology since it had been incorporated in the syllabus to enable them to become computer literate.
Mrs Coleman urged the pupils to take their education very seriously to enable them to become functional in the society.
She urged the teachers to give off their best so that the children who passed through their hands acquired the requisite skills and knowledge to become future leaders.
