Registration has opened for the eagerly anticipated annual Technology Information Confederation Africa (TICON Africa) Conference, which will be held at the prestigious Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana, between 20 and 22 August 2025.
David Gowu, TICON Africa President, says that “the 2025 TICON Africa Conference will deliver vital insights, foster future-shaping conversations, and position delegates at the forefront of Africa’s rapidly advancing digital economy”. Gowu is also a visionary digital transformation leader who wears many other hats and will be speaking at the event.
Under the theme, “Empowering Africa’s Tech Future: Innovation, Standards, and Global Influence,” experts from across the continent and beyond will cover topics such as the latest views from around Africa on aspects such as ‘engineering smart and resilient digital ecosystems’, ‘tech-driven inclusion – empowering women for a digital economy’.
Other key topics include: ‘Africa at the forefront of the global tech revolution,’ ‘fast-tracking and unlocking career development potential of Africa’s youth by embracing digital education,’ as well as ‘driving the standardised skills development initiative among BRICS+ and African countries’.
“Our conference is just one of many ways in which we demonstrate, in a very real way, why we are the leading Pan-African ICT professional body. We are dedicated to advancing knowledge, education, and collaboration among technology professionals across the continent,” says Gowu.
Throughout the three-day event, attendees will be able to engage with their peers through a series of keynotes, panels, workshops, as well as exploring the latest innovations in the field – all of which will emphasise ICT’s role in Africa’s future.
“We aim to unite ICT professionals across Africa, fostering excellence in technology through education, networking, and collaboration through the Conference as part of our mandate” says Gowu.

“That we have such sponsors reaffirms our status in the industry as a leading professional body. In fact, last year, Ethiopian Airlines was among our top sponsors, which signifies just how valuable our event is to all Africans as we forge a brave, new, future in a rapidly advancing tech age,” Gowu adds.
