Mr Oseghale Emmanuel Aighalua, President of God's Kingdom Society (GCS), on Wednesday urged political leaders to seek the interest and welfare of the electorate while in office.
"Political leaders should rule with the fear of God so that the electorate would be content with their performance and re-elect them into office," he said when he led a delegation of the church on a visit to the Head Office of the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Accra.
He advised the Ghanaian electorate to elect honest and dedicated leaders in December.
"Ghana has a high level of honesty, contentment, quietness and peace and many African countries need to emulate what this nation has done," he said.
Mr Aighalua advised candidates who might not win during the elections in December to accept defeat in good faith.
"Politics is like a game of sports and whoever loses is not disgraced. There are many people who have lost elections several times but became great leaders," he said.
Nana Appau Duah, General Manager of GNA, who received the delegation, expressed the hope that the relationship between the agency and the church would continue to be unique.
