Kudjo Ansah, a farmer, who defiled a 14-year-old Junior High School (JHS) girl, was on Tuesday remanded by a circuit court at Asamankese.
The plea of Ansah was not taken and he would to re-appear on November 18.
Police Chief Inspector Kate Ogyiri told the court that the victim, a final year JHS student
at Topease near Asamankese, who lived adjacent to the house of Ansah, had cordial relationship with him.
She said about six months ago, when the victim went to plug oranges at her parent farm, the suspect blindfold her with piece of cloth and forcibly had sex with her.
Prosecution said Ansah warned the victim that if she disclosed her ordeal to anyone he would kill her. Chief Insp Ogyir said two weeks after the incident Ansah again invited the victim to his
house with the pretence of sending her.
Prosecution said when the girl arrived at the house, Ansah lured her into his room and forcibly had sex with her.
She still kept the secret until October 18 when she broke the news to her mother and a report was made to the Police.
