Professor Kingsley Nyarko, the Member of Parliament (MP) for Kwadaso, has appealed to Ghanaians to maintain the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in power for a further pursuit of national development and progress.
He said the Government had laid down a solid foundation for the nation's development and the numerous innovative programmes clearly confirmed that.
Prof. Nyarko, addressing the party members at the Kwadaso office of the Electoral Commission (EC), after submitting his forms to contest the December parliamentary election, said the party was in good shape and moving into victory in this year's election.
The incumbent MP, seeking a second term in Parliament, has been the MP for the area after succeeding Dr S.K. Nuamah in 2020.
He said the NPP had a better record of rebuilding the economy and remained the best choice to take the country out of the current economic difficulties.
The party had vision, capability and good programmes to manage the Ghanaian economy to provide better standards of living for every Ghanaian, hence the need for party members to work hard to ensure it stayed in power.
He thanked the constituency leadership and the entire people of Kwadaso for their continued support over the years. The MP called on party members to work extra hard to ensure a convincing win for the NPP for both parliamentary and presidential elections in December.
Mr Danish Raheem, the Returning Officer, who received the forms, said his job was as to go through the forms to make sure they were filled properly.
He appealed to the MP to ensure a peaceful campaign as the EC also worked towards a free and fair election.
Prof. Nyarko was accompanied to the EC office by Mr Frank Amoako, the Kwadaso NPP Organizer, Mr Samuel Donkor, the constituency treasurer, Castro Kwame Nkrumah, the youth organizer, and Dependable Ladies, a women's wing supporting the MP.
