The Parliamentary Select Committee on Education has urged the government to ensure that budgetary provisions are made available way ahead before projects are initiated.
According to the committee, allocating funds upfront would significantly address the persistent challenges related to infrastructure deficits in schools, which continues to be a major headache for school management, negatively impacting teaching and learning.
The Chairman of the committee, Peter Kwasi Nortsu-Kotoe, made this call after touring the
Ghana Senior High School, Koforidua Senior High Technical School, New Juaben Senior High School, and All Nations University, all within the Eastern Region, on Sunday, May 11, as part of the committee’s work to assess the impact of the double-track system in various educational institutions.
