Director of Communications for the Bawumia Campaign Team, Dennis Miracles Aboagye, says delegates of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) across the country are not only pledging their votes for former Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia but are also actively campaigning for his flagbearership bid.
Speaking on Citi Eyewitness News on Thursday, November 6, Mr. Aboagye described the level of enthusiasm and commitment among delegates as overwhelming.
“So far, so good in terms of the reception. They are not only saying they will vote for Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, but they are also becoming evangelists,” he said. “They are becoming harvesters of votes and advocates for the Bawumia flagbearership contest, and for us, that is the most important thing.”
He explained that beyond winning delegates’ support, Dr. Bawumia has been able to inspire many of them to help mobilise additional votes across constituencies ahead of the party’s presidential primaries.
“Dr. Bawumia is not only convincing delegates to vote for him; he is also getting them to commit themselves to go out and harvest more votes for the cause,” Mr. Aboagye added.
The NPP will hold its presidential primaries on January 31, 2026, to elect a flagbearer to lead the party into the next general elections. Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia is among the five aspirants vying for the position
