Politicians have been urged to seek the nation's interest instead of pursuing parochial and debased objectives.
Reverend Herbert Mensah, General Overseer of the Evangelistic Living Christ Ministry made the appeal in a sermon he delivered on achieving successful and peaceful elections.
He expressed regret on the unhealthy and sometimes slanted match that characterised the political debates.
Rev. Mensah called for proactive contribution, which will ensure national development devoid of partisan lines.
He advised politicians to do away with campaign of acrimony and rancour, which continues to deepen the cracks in our body politic.
The General Overseer urged Ghanaians from all walks of life to make peace their agenda and be seriously involved in the affairs of the nation, adding that the governance of the nation was not for parliamentarians alone but for all.
