BIMA (Milvik Ghana Ltd) uses mobile technology to deliver affordable insurance and health products to under-served customers in emerging markets, families who cannot access these vital products through traditional channels. With a global footprint across 15 countries across Africa, Asia and Latin America, BIMA has already reached 26 million customers globally.
BIMA Ghana launched its operations in 2010 with the mobile operator AirtelTigo.
Through this partnership, BIMA provides over 2 million Ghanaians with insurance. In 2014, BIMA also launched own-branded insurance and health products to widen access to all Ghanaian families and has to date sold over 350,000 policies.
In 2019, the business introduced B- health and B-Life policies.
The B-Health policy enables customers access to unlimited phone consultations from licensed medical practitioners, extra cash for medication and up to 1500 on our hospital support.
