1. Strategic Account Management & Growth
✓ Develop and execute Joint Business Plans (JBPs) with key accounts to achieve mutual growth objectives, including volume, value, and market share targets.
✓ Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities within existing accounts and prospect for new strategic accounts to expand the company's footprint.
✓ Analyze account performance data, market share, and trends to provide actionable insights and recommend strategic initiatives.
2. Relationship & Partnership Building
✓ Serve as the primary point of contact and build C-level/senior management relationships with key decision-makers within assigned accounts.
✓ Foster strong, collaborative partnerships built on trust, reliability, and a deep understanding of the customer's business goals and challenges.
✓ Represent the copany at high-level meetings and industry events.
3. Commercial Negotiations & Contract Management
✓ Lead negotiations on trading terms, annual contracts, promotional agreements, and new listing fees to achieve optimal commercial outcomes.
✓ Manage the contract lifecycle for all key accounts, ensuring compliance and identifying renewal or renegotiation opportunities.
✓ Ensure all agreed terms, including pricing, payment terms, and service levels, are clearly communicated and adhered to internally and by the customer
4. Cross-Functional Collaboration & Execution
✓ Work closely with the Sales Execution Lead and field teams to ensure flawless in-store execution of agreed plans (e.g., promotions, planograms, visibility).
✓ Liaise with the Marketing, Finance, and Supply Chain teams to align on customer-specific initiatives, credit management, and logistics requirements.
✓ Champion the needs of key accounts internally to ensure the organization is responsive and aligned.
5. Forecasting, Reporting & Budget Management
✓ Provide accurate and timely sales forecasts for your portfolio of accounts.
✓ Manage the budget for key account activities, including trade investments and promotional spend, ensuring a positive return on investment (ROI).
✓ Prepare and present regular performance reviews and strategic business reviews to both internal leadership and key account partners.
