Skills & Competencies  Strong troubleshooting and fault-finding skills  Knowledge of PLC basics and automation systems  Ability to read electrical drawings and schematics  Good communication and teamwork skills  Safety-conscious and disciplined approach to work Work Environment  Factory-based with exposure to machinery, heat, noise, and electrical systems  Shift work and emergency call-outs may be required

Job Summary

The Electrical Technician is responsible for the installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of all electrical systems and equipment used in soap production. The role ensures uninterrupted plant operations, equipment reliability, safety compliance, and support for production targets.

Key Responsibilities Electrical Maintenance & Operations

 Install, inspect, maintain, and repair electrical systems, motors, control panels, and wiring used in soap production and packaging lines.

 Troubleshoot electrical faults in production machinery such as mixers, plodders, dryers, conveyors, compressors, and packing machines.

 Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime. Automation & Controls

 Assist with maintenance of PLCs, VFDs, sensors, relays, and control circuits.

 Support calibration and troubleshooting of instrumentation and automated systems.

 Ensure proper functioning of safety interlocks and emergency systems. Safety & Compliance

 Follow electrical safety procedures, lockout/tagout (LOTO), and plant HSE rules.

 Ensure all electrical work complies with statutory regulations and factory standards.

 Maintain proper grounding, earthing, and protection systems. Documentation & Reporting

 Maintain maintenance logs, breakdown reports, and spare parts usage records.

 Report recurring issues and recommend corrective actions or improvements. Team Support

 Work closely with production, mechanical technicians, and supervisors.

 Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and plant upgrades.

 Provide on-the-job support during shifts and breakdowns. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
