Description
Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented HR Assistant to join our team at a reputable steel manufacturing company at Konongo. The HR Assistant will provide essential administrative support to the Human Resources department, ensuring smooth and efficient HR operations. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for delivering exceptional HR services.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Support:
- Assist with maintaining employee records, including personnel files, HR databases, and other related documentation.
- Prepare and update HR documents, such as employment contracts, job descriptions, and policies.
- Handle HR-related inquiries and provide accurate and timely responses to employees.
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding processes, including scheduling orientations, collecting necessary paperwork, and conducting exit interviews.
- Recruitment and Selection:
- Assist with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Screen resumes and applications, and schedule interviews for potential candidates.
- Coordinate interview logistics and communicate with candidates regarding interview schedules and outcomes.
- Assist with conducting background checks and verifying employment references.
- Employee Relations:
- Assist with organizing and coordinating employee engagement activities, such as team-building events and recognition programs.
- Support HR initiatives, including performance management, employee feedback, and disciplinary procedures.
- Provide assistance in resolving employee queries and concerns, escalating complex issues to the HR Manager when necessary.
- Maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information with discretion.
- HR Systems and Processes:
- Update and maintain HR databases and employee records accurately and in a timely manner.
- Generate HR reports, metrics, and analytics as required.
- Assist with payroll administration and ensure accuracy of employee data for payroll processing.
- Help develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and practices in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
- Compliance and Legal Requirements:
- Stay up-to-date with changes in labor laws and regulations, ensuring compliance in HR processes and practices.
- Assist with employee benefits administration, including enrollment and assisting with inquiries.
