The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering full-cycle recruitment service for all mine-site positions, ensuring compliance with Ghanaian labour regulations, local community employment commitments, and company standards. This role partners closely with departmental leaders (Mining, Processing, Maintenance, Geology, HSE, IT, Finance, Supply Chain, Community Affairs) to attract, assess, and on board high-quality talent while supporting local employment and skills development goals.

Recruitment & Talent Sourcing
Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for mine-site roles, including skilled trades, technical, supervisory, and professional positions.
Proactively source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, mining networks, universities, community databases, and employee referrals.
Drive local talent sourcing in line with Ghana Minerals Commission localization requirements and community employment commitments.
Build and maintain talent pipelines for critical and hard-to-fill roles.
Screening & Selection
Conduct candidate screening and design competency-based interview frameworks.
Coordinate and facilitate panel interviews with hiring managers and technical teams.
Administer technical assessments, psychometric tests, and practical evaluations where required.
Ensure fair, transparent, and inclusive recruitment processes, particularly for applicants from the local community.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure all recruitment activities comply with the Ghana Labour Act, Minerals Commission localization guidelines, and internal HR policies.
Verify that all hires meet mandatory medical, security, and background screening requirements.
Maintain accurate and audit-ready recruitment records and documentation.
Stakeholder Management
Collaborate closely with Site HR, Community Relations, Training & Development, and departmental heads to support workforce planning.
Engage with local community leaders and employment committees on community- based recruitment initiatives.
Partner with training teams to identify skills gaps and support targeted development programmes.
Onboarding & Mobilization
Coordinate onboarding logistics, including medicals, site inductions, accommodation, rotations, PPE issuance, and site access.
Support and deliver site-specific orientation programmes in collaboration with HSE and HR teams.
Monitor new hire progress during probation and support effective integration into operational teams.
Data & Reporting
Maintain recruitment dashboards, vacancy trackers, and periodic (weekly/monthly)
reports.
Analyze key recruitment metrics, including time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, source-of-hire, localization progress, community hires, and turnover trends.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve recruitment efficiency and workforce planning.
QUALIFICATION
Tertiary qualification in Human Resources, Business Administration, Industrial
Psychology, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Talent Acquisition within the mining industry.
Experience working in remote mining environments with exposure to operational teams.
Proven experience recruiting for high-volume, technical, or site-based roles.
Strong experience sourcing passive candidates through external platforms and networks.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word (particularly document formatting) and
Outlook (including calendar management and inbox coordination).
Sound knowledge of Ghanaian labour laws and Minerals Commission localization requirements.
Proficiency in SAP SuccessFactors or similar HR systems.
