Coordinate Imports and Exports: Ensure smooth clearance of goods through Ghana Customs at various borders.
Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with Ghana Revenue Authority (GRA), Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), and other regulatory bodies for import/export documentation.
Inventory Management: Oversee warehouse stock levels, ensuring efficient stock rotation (FIFO/FEFO) and minimizing obsolescence.
Transport Management: Plan and manage transportation of raw materials and finished goods within Ghana and for international shipments.
Vendor Management: Negotiate with logistics service providers, clearing agents, and transporters for cost efficiency and timely delivery.
Documentation: Prepare, review, and maintain accurate documents.
Supply Chain Coordination: Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align logistics with business needs.
Route Optimization: Identify cost-effective transport routes and methods to ensure timely delivery of goods.
Cost Control: Monitor and control logistics costs to stay within budget and propose cost-saving strategies.
Customs Clearance Oversight: Supervise customs processes to avoid delays, penalties, or demurrage charges.
Risk Management: Identify risks in the logistics chain (delays, damages, theft) and develop mitigation strategies.
Systems & Reporting: Use ERP or logistics software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, or Tally) to track shipments, stock, and provide weekly/monthly reports.
Customer Service: Ensure timely delivery of products to distributors/retailers while maintaining high service levels.
Sustainability Practices: Incorporate environmentally friendly practices in transportation and warehousing where possible.
Team Supervision: Manage and develop logistics staff, drivers, and warehouse teams to achieve set KPIs.
