Job Purpose
The Export Sales Manager will lead and grow the company’s international sales operations across the West African sub-region, specifically in Togo, Benin, Burkina Faso, Niger, and Ivory Coast. The role involves developing export strategies, managing key accounts, driving new business opportunities, and building strong relationships with distributors and partners to achieve sales growth targets.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Market Development
- Develop and implement an export sales strategy for the assigned West African markets.
- Conduct detailed market analyses to identify growth opportunities, competitor activity, and customer needs.
- Establish entry and expansion plans for new and existing export markets.
- Attend and represent the company at international trade fairs and exhibitions.
- Sales and Business Growth
- Develop commercial plans and budgets for key accounts and territories.
- Identify and build strong relationships with major distributors, wholesalers, and retail partners across the sub-region.
- Lead active prospecting efforts and execute targeted sales campaigns to achieve set targets.
- Grow market share by introducing new products and penetrating new territories.
- Monitor and evaluate sales performance and market trends to adjust strategies accordingly.
- Customer Relationship Management
- Maintain strong customer relationships through regular communication and market visits.
- Provide superior customer service to both new and existing clients.
- Track and analyze customer sales performance, purchasing trends, and emerging opportunities.
- Manage customer records, contracts, and sales documentation accurately and professionally.
- Identify process gaps and recommend internal improvements for better service delivery.
- Cross-Functional Coordination
- Collaborate closely with the logistics, production, and finance teams to ensure smooth order processing and delivery.
- Work jointly with marketing and distribution teams to align promotional efforts with regional needs.
- Report monthly on export performance, sales achievements, and market developments to the Head of Sales and Marketing.
