 BSc or HND degree related technical field or certificate or diploma with five years’ experience in the maintenance and/or operation of a process manufacturing facility or the equivalent combination of education and experience.  In-depth knowledge of the production maintenance is an asset.  Experience with repairs and maintenance of equipment.  Computer literate  Good communication and listening skills

• Responsible for the safe maintenance and repair of moulds, injection and packing machines and other peripherals as chillers and compressors, to ensure maximum production quantity and quality, while supporting the policies, goals and objectives of the company.


• Work closely with Maintenance team to establish and maintain a tracking system for work orders, spare parts, and maintenance history of production equipment.


• Work closely with Production and Quality Control teams to ensure 100% product quality at all times


• Follow up to ensure daily and scheduled preventive maintenance is done, recorded and signed-off by Maintenance Engineer


• Prepare reports and make recommendations for improving maintenance operations and solving maintenance-related problems.


• Supervise production maintenance personnel


• Ensure that maintenance technicians are adequately trained, equipped, and motivated so that the maintenance programme can be accomplished in a safe, timely, and cost-effective manner.


• Encourage initiative within your team, maintain discipline and step in to solve conflicts


• Communicate regularly with all maintenance technicians, both individually and as a group, to ensure good two-way communication concerning maintenance issues.


• Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.


• Ensure that tools, equipment and workstations are kept clean.


• Maintain a clean work environment at all times and adhere to clean working culture


• Monitor operation of production equipment and systems.


• Reviews the operation of plant equipment and systems constantly to minimize unplanned downtime. Anticipate, solve problems in a timely manner, and identify opportunities for improvement.
