Liquid Filling Machine Operator.

Purpose:
We are looking for a Mechanical Technician who will also serve as a Liquid Filling Machine Operator. In
this role, you will be responsible for running, maintaining, and support in the repairing of the machines
that fill bottles or containers with liquid soap and detergent. You will ensure the machines work properly,
the product is filled accurately, and safety and quality standards are followed. You will report directly to
the Production Supervisor and work as part of the production team.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operating the Filling Machines
• Run and monitor liquid filling machines (automatic and semi-automatic) used for soap and detergent
packaging.
• Adjust machine settings such as volume, speed, and nozzle position to match production needs.
• Make sure the filling process is accurate and reduces product waste.
2. Maintenance of Machines
• Perform daily checks, cleaning, and lubrication of machine parts like pumps, valves, and conveyors.
• Carry out minor repairs to avoid downtime during production.
• Support the maintenance team in repairing and replacing worn-out parts such as seals, gaskets, or
nozzles.
3. Troubleshooting Issues
• Fix problems such as leaking nozzles, filling errors, or conveyor jams.
• Work with the maintenance team on more serious or electrical issues.
• Inform the supervisor immediately if there is a major breakdown.
4. Quality and Safety
• Check that bottles or containers are filled correctly and meet quality standards.
• Follow all health, safety, and hygiene rules including proper use of PPE and handling of chemicals.
• Keep the work area clean and prevent contamination of products.
5. Reporting and Record-Keeping
• Write down machine performance, maintenance work, and any issues in the logbook.
• Report problems like underfilled products, spills, or defects to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
Education:
• Technical diploma or certificate in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a similar field.
Experience:
• At least 2 years of experience working with liquid filling machines, especially in industries like FMCG,
chemicals, or cosmetics.
• Knowledge of how pumps, pneumatic systems, and conveyors work is an advantage.
Skills:
• Ability to take apart and fix mechanical parts of filling machines.
• Able to read and understand technical manuals and machine settings.
• Good understanding of how production lines work.
Physical Requirements:
• Able to stand for long hours and lift items up to 25 kg.
• Comfortable working around liquids and cleaning products.
Working Conditions
• Work is shift-based, including possible night shifts.
• Factory environment with noise, moving equipment, and exposure to detergents (Protective gear
provided).
