Purpose:
We are seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-oriented Open Market Sales Executive to join our sales
team. This individual will be responsible for promoting and selling our range of soap and detergent
products in open markets, including high-traffic retail areas, local markets, and roadside vendors. The
ideal candidate must be self-driven with a deep understanding of consumer behavior in open markets and
a proven ability to convert foot traffic into sales. The role involves aggressive fieldwork, building new
customer relationships, managing stock, ensuring visibility of products, and meeting daily sales targets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Market Penetration and Customer Acquisition
∙Identify and target high-potential open market areas such as local markets, mobile traders, kiosks,
and roadside vendors.
∙Recruit and onboard new customers in the open market segment.
∙Promote and demonstrate company products to prospective buyers.
∙Consistently explore and penetrate new territories to expand the company’s market presence.
2. Sales Execution and Target Achievement
∙Sell products directly to retailers and vendors in open markets.
∙Drive daily sales to meet or exceed assigned targets.
∙Develop and implement effective route plans to optimize market coverage.
∙Upsell and cross-sell products to increase average transaction value.
3. Customer Relationship Management
∙Build strong, long-lasting relationships with customers through excellent service and
follow-up.
∙Handle customer feedback, complaints, and requests professionally.
∙Provide market intelligence and competitor feedback to the Sales Manager regularly.
4. Product Visibility and Merchandising
∙Ensure the company’s products are visibly and attractively displayed in market stalls.
∙Maintain brand visibility through placement of branded materials and regular stock
availability.
∙Educate customers on the benefits, usage, and value proposition of each product.
5. Reporting and Record-Keeping
∙Maintain accurate records of daily sales, customer details, stock movement, and
collections.
∙Submit daily and weekly sales reports, customer feedback, and route activity reports.
∙Monitor stock levels and request restocks in a timely manner.
Qualifications:
∙HND, or Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business Administration, or any related
Field.
∙Minimum of 2 years of field sales experience, preferably in FMCG or household
products.
∙Proven experience in open market sales is highly desirable.
∙Strong sales acumen and customer engagement skills.
∙Ability to work independently and under pressure.
∙Good knowledge of the local market and surrounding areas.
∙Must be physically fit and able to move between multiple customer locations daily.
∙Fluency in English and at least one local language.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
