Job Purpose
To enhance the General Secretary’s effectiveness by providing high level administrative support in international relations, communication, strategy and policy implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Plan, evaluate and monitor operations in the General Secretary’s office for effectiveness.
2. Create and executive international programmes, collaborate with relevant departments for conferences, meetings, and manage travel logistics for the General Secretary.
3. Draft correspondence and manages the flow of information in the GSs’ office ensuring confidentiality and circumspection.
4. Ensure compliance with administrative policies and procedures on accountable imprest requests, reports, etc. in the General Secretary’s Office.
5. Collate and analyze information such as Management reports, Annual reports, Council reports, etc) and submit to the General Secretary.
6. Provide historical reference by developing and utilizing an effective filing and retrieval systems and record meeting proceedings as and when necessary
Qualification & Competencies
1. A relevant university degree in Business Administration, Communication, Human Relations, Social Sciences or a related field
2. Must be a member of a relevant professional body
3. A passion and deep commitment for the spreading of the word of God
4. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and presentation skills including tact and diplomacy
5. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and manage priorities effectively.
6. Must pay attention to detail and possess excellent problem-solving skills
7. Must be computer literate with advanced level skills in Microsoft office suite
8. Knowledge of office management systems and procedures
9. Demonstrated integrity, trustworthiness, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
10. Must have a valid driver's license with a minimum of 2 years of driving experience.
