a. Inventory Management: Regularly conduct inventory checks to monitor stock levels of supplies, equipment, and materials used throughout the hotel, including linens, toiletries, cleaning supplies, food and beverage items, and more. In charge of auditing stocks taken by the F&B Team daily.
b. Ordering and Receiving: Placing orders for inventory replenishment based on demand and stock levels, coordinating deliveries with suppliers, and verifying the accuracy of received items against purchase orders.
c. Storage and Organization: Ensuring that all inventory items are properly stored, labelled, and organized in designated storage areas to facilitate easy access and efficient use of space.
d. Stock Rotation: Implementing a system for first-in, first-out (FIFO) stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure that older inventory items are used before newer ones.
e. Quality Control: Inspecting incoming inventory for quality and freshness, identifying any damaged or expired items, and promptly addressing any issues with suppliers.
f. Data Entry and Record-Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of inventory transactions, including receipts, disbursements, and adjustments, using inventory management software or manual systems.
g. Issuing and Distributing: Distributing inventory items to various departments within the hotel as needed, ensuring that appropriate quantities are dispensed according to departmental requests.
h. Reconciliation and Reporting: Conducting regular reconciliations of physical inventory counts with recorded inventory levels, investigating any discrepancies, and generating reports for management review.
i. Equipment Maintenance: Assisting with the maintenance and repair of equipment used for inventory management, such as shelving units, storage racks, and forklifts, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
j. Compliance and Safety: Adhering to all hotel policies and procedures related to inventory management, including safety protocols for handling hazardous materials and compliance with regulatory requirements.
