Duties and Responsibilities
Responsible for day-to-day running of the Branch to ensure smooth operations,
compliance with Standard Operational Procedures, revenue and profit
maximization, adherence to customer satisfaction, supervise all sections
including Butchery, Juice and Salad Bar and Wholesale, if service is available at
Branch.
Enforce retail operating standards and policies by mobilizing all staff members to
deliver services and provide information that guarantee excellent customer
experience, ensure staff meet customer satisfaction requirements, respond to
customer complaints in a way that is satisfactory to the customer.
Enforce adherence to proper Branch opening and closing procedures.
Responsible for receiving and cross-checking quantities, quality and processing
returns if required.
Receive and process stock and ensure produce in the Shop are fresh, safe and
of highest quality state to customer requirements.
Identify malfunctioning equipment for immediate repair/maintenance and ensure
that Company assets are protected and in good working condition at all times.
Ensure the highest standard of hygiene and cleanliness at the Branch by
enforcing cleaning schedules established at opening, during and close of each
working day.
Coordinate with Shop Manager to prepare daily requisition orders paying
attention to items and quantities.
Coordinate with Shop Manager to ensure labeling and selling price tagging of
produce and products are accurately displayed.
Have high product knowledge to answer questions by customers.
Demonstrate a cheerful attitude while providing information and knowledge in
discussing products and creating the best fit between customer requirements and
available products to ensure high quality customer service.
Ensure Shop Assistants and Cashiers are appropriately attired, attend to all
customer needs for a happy experience.
Track items in promotions and specials whilst ensuring produce useable in other
units are appropriately transferred and/or processed.
Assist Shop Manager in stock and Inventory taking at end of every month.
Ensure shop is stocked with all inputs/consumables needed for smooth
operations including till rolls, POS rolls, salad bar materials, carrier bags, soaps,
detergent etc.
Assist when required to manage Branch Points of Sale and Customer Service.
Submit documentation, requisition or reports to Shop Manager on stock
availability, general stock request, specific customer requirements – paying
attention to items and quantities – by 12:00pm daily to enable complementary
provision for delivery.
Implement produce loss prevention strategies to ensure waste in reduced to the
barest minimum.
Undertake any other duties periodically assigned by Shop Manager, Retail
Manager or Management.
