The Agona Swedru Presbyterian Church Credit Union made a profit of 561 Ghana cedis within its first year of operation and granted loans totalling 1,906 Ghana Cedis to some members.
The chairman of Board of Director of the Union, Mr J. N. Brafodey, said this at the maiden General Meeting of the union at Agona Swedru.

The chairman expressed appreciation to members for their support and assured them that the union would achieve a steady growth in its operations.
Mr Brafodey said as a young Organisation, their financial strength was not all that encouraging but still insisted that the board, management and staff of the union would work to expand their share capital base.
The Manager of the Union, Mr Stephen Kyei, said the union started with five members and now has 61 members.
