SIC Insurance (+10.00%) advanced at the end of today’s session, however, downward price movements in Enterprise Group and Societe Generale softened the GSE Composite Index by a point (-0.05%) to close at 2,156.64 with a year-to-date return of -16.16%. Market capitalization moderated by 0.02% to settle at GH¢55.59 billion.

In consequence, the GSE Financial Index retreated marginally by 1.85 points (-0.10%) to close at 1,819.64 with a year-to-date return of -15.51%.

The SAS Manufacturing Index, closing at 3.623.32 points with a year-to-date return of -22.13% recorded no gains or losses for the sixteenth successive session.

A total of 133,081 shares valued at GH¢117,056 summed up today’s session compared with 130,321 shares valued at GH¢519,332 in the previous session. Societe Generale dominated trades, accounting for 56.91% of total volume traded and 39.66% of the total value traded.

We expect activity levels to increase at the next session.
