From Monday, August 26 to Thursday, September 5, the town of Prampram will be the place to be when Pramfest'19 takes place. Pramfest is simply Prampram Festival and is celebrated by the people of the town during Homowo.

Pramfest is an annual event which attracts thousands of people who come to witness the traditions and cultures of the Ga Dangme people as well as others who use the occasion to network and explore business opportunities.

The festival, organised by V-Entertainment Consults, is aimed at giving people, especially the youth, the opportunity to appreciate their culture, provide a platform through which talents can be identified and nurtured; provide marketing opportunities for businesses and organisations as well as the promotion of unity.

This year’s edition is a fully packed one with many activities lined up to excite patrons. These include a Year of Return homecoming on August 26, a cultural performance and rap/dance competition on August 27, traditional live band music by La Dadekotopon and a performance by Adote Tetor on August 28.

On August 29, there will be traditional live band and Rep Your Jersey while on August 30 there will be an Artiste Night featuring Raph Enzee and Friends.

There is also an Old School Day on August 31, a clean up exercise and card competition on September 1 as well as a canoe race on September 2. The V-Pub at Lower Prampram will play host to most of these events.

Some of the acts expected to be in action at Pramfest include Raph Enzee (who is a Prampram native), Pappy Kojo, B4Bonah, Article Wan, Quamina MP, Yaw Berma, Coco Treyy, Ayatt, Masaany, Nii Funny, Lord Morgan and Charloson.
