GOtv Ghana Limited, Ghana's first operator of a DVB-T2 digital pay TV service announced the commencement of its operations at a media event organised at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on Thursday 17th January 2013.
The media event was attended by several Ghanaian celebrities including the award winning music duo, Praye, and movie actress Nana Ama McBrown, who were revealed as brand ambassadors for GOtv during the event.
Other celebrities at the event were Face of Africa Winner, Kate Techie-Menson, Movie Producers Adbul Salam, Socrates Safo and Frank Raja and Ghanaian Big Brother Housemates, Derrick Kwabena Bonney (DKB) and Kwaku Tutu (Kwaku T).
The launch event was followed by a road show on Friday January 18th 2013, starting started with a float from the motorway through some principle streets of Accra. The float procession ended with a concert at the Obra spot with performances by several artistes including Tinny, Guru, Trigmatic, Dadie Opanka, Gasmilla, Double, Dr. Slim, Stay Jay and Praye. The Flash Mob Ghana dance group also thrilled the audience to their amazing dance movements.
