Togbe Addo VIII, Paramount Chief of Klikor Traditional Area, has advised the country's youth to follow laid down procedures in seeking redress to their grievances.
He said the use of violence in seeking redress to grievances by the youth was unacceptable no matter how genuine their concerns might be.
Togbe Addo was addressing a durbar organized by the Klikor branch of the Afrikania Mission, to honour Mr. Bernard Amable, Ketu-South District Chief Executive (DCE), first citizen of Klikor to be appointed to the Office of DCE.
The Paramount Chief, who was referring to some youth who were agitating for the removal of Mr. Amable from office for alleged corrupt practices, noted that the action allegedly by persons from Aflao was because the DCE was not from that area.
Togbe Addo said people of Klikor and Aflao were by tradition relatives and politics must not divide them and asked Mr. Amable to work diligently.
He commended the Afrikania Mission for holding aloft the banner of African religion, culture and tradition.
Professor Kwakuvi Azasoo, Lecturer at the University of Education, Winneba, and Afrikania Mission High Chief Priest, said gone were the days when African religion down played the essence of education and asked parents to send their children to school.
Mr Amable said the recognition and honour bestowed on him would motivate him to work harder.
He asked the youth group, calling itself the NDC Youth In Action for Development, from Aflao, agitating for his removal to exercise restraint and organize its members to take advantage of government packages to address youth employment.
Mr. Amable denied allegation of corruption, levelled against him, claiming that the youth were being influenced by people who were bent on frustrating his efforts.
