The Agona Swedru Magistrate Court has imposed a fine totalling 720 Ghana cedis on three drivers for committing traffic offences.
Each of the three paid 240 Ghana Cedis.
The offences were defective lights, expired driving licenses, defective speed meters, defective indicators and tail lights and wornout tyres.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Samuel Yankey, the Agona Swedru Divisional Commander of Motor Traffic and Transport Unit (MTTU) told the GNA
that the exercise was carried out to check indiscipline on the roads.
He said the court presided over by Mr E.K Sunu issued bench warrants for the arrest of three drivers for failing to appear before it.
They are Nii Prince, Appiah Emmanuel and Mohamed Abubabkari.
The court also ordered the drivers to repair the defective parts of their vehicles before police would release the vehicles to them.
