Computer Aid Ghana, a Danish-based non-governmental organization, has donated educational and health items to schools and a health post in the Akuapem District.
A local NGO, Adasaf Foundation that made the presentation on behalf of Computer Aid Ghana, presented computers, printers, classroom tables and chairs, sportswear, books, hospital beds, wheel chairs and medical items worth about GH�30,000.
Mr Kwame Danquah, a Ghanaian based in Denmark and Director of Computer Aid Ghana, told the GNA that the beneficiary institutions included Nifa SHS at Adukrom, Methodist Girls SHS at Mamfe, Presbyterian College of Education Primary School at Akropong, Christ Presbyterian Church Medical Centre at Akropong and Abiriw Community Clinic.
He said: "I want to give back to my community and my country as a whole."
Mr Kofi Saforo, Director of Adasaf Foundation, advised students of the schools to take advantage of the items to improve their academic performance.
He expressed his gratitude to Computer Aid Ghana and said he hoped the partnership between the two NGOs would grow stronger in the years ahead.
Mrs Sylvia Yirenkyi, the Assistant Headmistress of Nifa SHS, spoke on behalf of the beneficiary institutions and said the items would be put to good use.
