A crash between a truck hauling gravel and a three-wheeled farm vehicle carrying wedding revelers in China's Shandong Province killed 16 people, police said.
Two of the 22 people aboard the farm vehicle died at the scene, and 14 died later, the official news agency Xinhua reported.
The wedding guests were on the way home from a banquet when the accident happened Thursday. The six survivors, including two children, were in stable condition.
The driver of the truck fled the scene, and police said the driver of the farm vehicle, who was killed in the crash, was suspected of driving drunk, the report said.
