The case of Janet Akani Sarbah, a trader whose warehouse exploded at Anyaa killing seven people a fortnight ago was on Wednesday adjourned to December 17.
The adjournment followed the absence of the prosecutor, Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Elizabeth Allandu when the case was called at a Circuit Court in Accra.
Mr Frank Davis, counsel for Janet said he had other matters before the higher courts until 1:00 pm and going up and down will not help him and suggested that the matter be adjourned.
Janet, who is charged with possessing firecrackers without lawful authority is on 100,000 Ghana cedi bail.
Her plea has not been taken by the court, presided over by Mr J.A Wilson.
On November 17, this year at about 6:30 pm, Janet is said to have asked her workers to cart some of the goods from the warehouse for a customer in Kumasi.
Prosecution said the lights in the area had gone off. The workers therefore lit a candle, which caught fire. Seven people died and several others got injured.
According to prosecution the dead have been deposited at the Morgue awaiting autopsy.
